Tanish Sidhu

I’m Tanish, a Software Engineer from Chandigarh, India, now based in Belgrade, Serbia.

For the past 7+ years, I’ve been building software in FinTech, working on systems where correctness, reliability, and the realities of production matter. Most of that time has been working closely with customers and solving problems that rarely arrive neatly packaged.

I’ve worked on everything from backend services and business logic to integrations and the less visible parts of enterprise software that have to keep working long after they’ve been shipped. Working directly with customers has also meant spending a lot of time understanding problems before writing solutions, and figuring out what is actually broken, what matters, and what a practical fix looks like.

My interests have gradually moved beyond the boundaries of a single stack or role. I like learning whatever is necessary to get an idea working, whether that means picking up a new language, understanding an unfamiliar system, or building something from scratch. A lot of the things I work on now come from that curiosity: taking a problem I find interesting and seeing how far I can take it.

I’m particularly interested in AI and what happens when software stops being entirely deterministic. I build with LLMs and agents, and explore how these systems can be made genuinely useful, reliable, and trustworthy.

I like being somewhere between engineering and product, close enough to the details to care about how something works, but far enough out to ask whether it should exist in the first place.
